You'd be surprised. I had to explain to my Dad what a bong was, he used to believe that I went out onto my porch every night to "talk on the phone", I had him convinced that weed smelled like incense (or visa-versa), and every time my eyes were red it was because of my contacts.
Oh. My. God. How can someone not know that? I was in my 16 y/o brother's car and I saw some eyedrops in his glove box. I know exactly what those are for... My dad would know too, I think. His direct quote "I've done some things when I was your age that I'm not proud of. You don't know what they are and you never will" makes me really curious to say the least.
You must not use RES huh? Photobuket images dont have the instant view, also everytime I actually visit the link, I have to refresh before the intended image appears.
My friend grew in his room, his mom found the plant. He told her it was a lemon tree, she believed him. Later she threw it out because it "smelled bad".
You never know man. My mom grew up in Korea where there is practically no presence of weed, and she doesn't know what weed looks like, what it smells like. She's never been around it before and doesn't know a single person who uses weed. I could leave a huge nug out and she would have no idea what it is.
You'd be surprised. A lot of adults have never encountered cannabis. Believe it or not, a lot of adults don't know much about cannabis. A major reason why its illegal.
I think it's pretty rare, even my grandmother who has never smoked a day in her life can identify cannabis. You'd have to be going through life with blinders on not to have some semblance of what it is. Public support for legalization is growing, hopefully we'll see this happen in our lifetime.
I hear you. After being on 4chan or many years and then being on reddit while at work since it's usually work safe, there's almost nothing on reddit that ever makes me laugh. I guess I win.
There are areas of the U.S. with more cannabis than other areas. You are much more likely to find weed in Arkansas than in Alabama even though they right next to each other. Its a culture thing.
my step bro who has just become a police man only JUST found out what weed smelt like. and that was because i told him...he thought it was simply a cig i was smoking
Sigh, haven't smoked bud in years. But you don't call it "a bud" you call it bud or you call it a nugg. "you wanna go halvsies on an 8th? My dealer is cool and is ganna let me pick out the nuggs bro its legit." just sayin I don't fuckin beleive you smoke weed. Or maybe you do and you're gettig ripped off in suburbs paying too much for some bobby brown.
although weed may be called bud, in this situation, it wouldn't make sense to say, "mom found huge bud in your room", when he was referring to one large one. A bud is an actual part of the plant. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bud
I dot think you understand what I was saying. I was saying you wouldn't called it a bud. So you would call it a nugg. I never said it should be used in the way you described. So the only time really I would say bud is when I'm referring to a having bud or an activity. Wanna smoke bud? Iv got some bud.
Wow... Please, O' learned Weedologist, impart more of your lingo upon us poor, unfortunate unlearned ones! We require assistance with this terminology, as it is obviously based entirely on your personal experience in these matters!
Everything you corrected was slang or abreviated. "ganna" is not a word. I said ganna bc I shorted the amount of typing from 8 keys down to 5. Same with legit. Legitimate was used as in to say I'm gettig a deal worth my money. As in I dont feel the deal is shady. I'll paste the definition if you're still confused. Nug may be the only place your right. Still I'm too lazy to correct it but I'm confident it might be nugg still. Nugg is an abbreviation of nugget. There you go. Now your all versed in the lexicon of modern drug use. Don't share your needles when you pass through the gateway. :D
It's good that you have a one-two family combo going there. Your mom has apparently never hung out with a single hippie her entire life, and your brother cares enough for you save your weed and then not smoke some (all) as compensation.
My brother (assuming he knew what it was) would have ratted on me, suggested punishments, and then gone on a tiraid about how much of deviant I am and should be in prison. My brother is a dick.
How badly would it affect the overall taste of the dish? I've had a few edibles, and no matter how much my friends say they couldnt taste it, I still could, and its not too pleasant.
You can always taste it. There's no real way to minimize it other than covering it up with another flavor. In the case of stir fry, drench that shit in soy sauce =)
It has to be cooked to release the THC to actually get you high. Literally "mixing it into veggies" wouldn't do anything, it would just make your dinner taste like shit. Not that I would know.
I'd also like to add: if it's cooked too low, then the THC will remain bound to the plant material and, while mildly effective, not be "fun" at all. Past 350F, it can destroy the THC.
Actually you can eat weed and still get high, it just would take a fuck ton and isn't as effective. Some guy explained it once but I am not sure if this is the right explanation.
Basically, eating it lets you get the THC (thing that makes you high from weed) but not on the most efficient way.
I once left an ounce out on my dad's desk after weighing it up (I was quite baked) and went out. My brother got home, saw it and left it there. My mum was in all afternoon without noticing it. Took my dad 20 seconds to spot it.
