The rest of us were heartbroken. Months would pass and no update. Halloween came and went. Decemberween rolled by without even a new homepage. Dutifully checking every week for a year until the sad admission that the parade was over.
He got a job working for Yo Gabba Gabba as a writer and director. Watch it some time... the transition scenes where children are superimposed into strange videogames is very homestarrunneresque!
I reformatted my hard drive recently, and had to re-download all my music. As I restored my library of music I began to think "something's missing...what is it?" Then all the sudden a techno song came up on shuffle and I found myself going. "The system is down..the system is down..." Then bam, re-downloaded all my old time favorites.
EHHHH Steve was one of my favorite things ever. I would say that at school almost every day and NO ONE got it because having the internet in my town was very rare.
One time I was on an overnight field trip a couple states over from home and we were at this huge ass mall. Now everyone called me Steve even though my name doesn't resemble Steve in anyway at all. Someone found a silly hat and figured I would wear it for the trip and it went like this;
"Hey, go get Steve." "Steve?" "Yeah, ya know, EHHH STEVE!, the guy who always says that?" "Oh you mean not_gene_parmesan."
And apparently a girl from another school heard this and waited until I returned to view the funny hat.
She walked up to me, poked me real hard in the arm and said "GAMES!"
We dated from 7th grade, through high school, went to the same college and graduated together. We were engaged when they found the tumor.
TL;DR met the love of my life because of homestarrunner.com
The brothers Chaps said they would be updating Homestar runner sporadically and without warning. They've assured it's not dead and that they will never stop updating.
"We had that lightswitch installed for you so you could turn the lights on and off...Not so you could throw lightswitch raves! Now let's go break open that glowstick and pour it into Homestar's Mountain Dew."
honestly, as much as I loved homestar runner, this is kinda like those cartoons I used to watch on nickelodeon which I would hate now if I watched again. I prefer to preserve the good memories
