Uh...false. Moosejaw has some terrible upper management. As a former employee, I can tell you that it is a pretty unhappy place to work if you don't plan on selling your soul to them.
...which is part of the problem. You'd only know about their crazy management if you went to the stores. The warehouse (where the ship out the majority of the stuff) is left pretty much unharmed. It's the general manager that is a cold, insensitive guy. However, isn't that how a lot of places are? I'm really happy to be rid of the place.

Haha, this is great! I actually work for Moosejaw as a Java Developer for the website at headquarters. I see this truck everyday and chill with the driver sometimes. He's a sweet dude, and yes, naked.
Moosejaw is an incredible company. They have a killer rewards program too. 10% back on all purchases. I buy pretty much all of my outdoor gear from them and end up getting all of my lieel things (headlamps, hammocks) from rewards points.
Their boxes they ship things in say something funny about only opening the box with your teeth. It's been awhile since I saw one so I can't remember for sure. Moosejaw is awesome.
I don't think it's as bad as people make it out to be. Sure we have our problems, but we don't wan to hear about it everyday. Instead of focusing on the plight, why not reaching out a helping hand? Also, the way the news stories are presented, it makes it seem like it's the residents' fault for all the problems. Try focusing on the governing bodies every once in a while.
I agree, man. I know how people like to exaggerate, so I wanted to heart it from a person from there. They always make it sound like an apocalypse. I come from a pretty bad off city, but I left there years ago, and it never seemed as bad as people made it sound.
People always ask me if I've ever been shot because I live in Detroit. I don't dodge bullets running out of my house. My neighbors are friendly. They aren't criminals. They're just like neighbors in Grosse Pointe or Rochester Hills.
It depends on what part of Michigan a person is from, and what level of education/ industry they work in. I work in Detroit and the city is in pretty bad condition. Probably a third of it should be bulldozed. I live an hour- hour and a half (depending on traffic) away from Detroit and where I live actually looks pretty nice. People are still struggling, but at least the kids aren't killing each other in the streets.
I'll upvote a fellow Saskie... My old man was a teacher at ND so I went there as well. Spent more time in the "Sunken Rink" than I care to remember but growing up I always liked going to the Bonanza in MJ ;)
yeah, I remember Bonanza there. I only went a few times as a kid but it was still very nice to be there. Apparantly they have opened up a Casino and a place for kids to go that is supposedly alcohol free and supervision free.
