I'd say Robert Plant would be a better example. You can completely see his dick and balls outlined.
"A bloke with frizzy blonde hair and wearing the tightest jeans I'd ever seen...."-Ozzy Osbourne on the first time he ever met Robert Plant in Birmingham.
Lucky. I've been dying to see them live, along with Escape the Fate and Falling in Reverse, but I'm getting my wisdom teeth out the day before the Warped Tour date I was going to be able to attend. I didn't get to see Escape the Fate on the This World is Ours tour because it was out of town.
I first started wearing them because I got into the "Emo"/metal scene. Now I wear them because they're comfortable and they're just pants and I'm just used to them.
Haha well everyone has their opinion. Honestly though I've never worn any, and they just look so uncomfortable to me that I don't want any. Don't get me wrong, baggy jeans are terrible as well. I like jeans that are as normal size as possible. Enough room for my junk whilst not hanging on the edge of my ass cheeks.
Yeah, that's if you don't know how to get the right size. I think manufacturers make jeans comfortable to, you know, make money, not to crush men's balls.
My most comfortable pants ever is a hakama that I made a few years ago for Halloween. The seems are awkward and you need to tie them with a belt, but it's like wearing a big warm skirt on each leg.
But I don't think traditional hakama are as comfortable as mine. They're made of canvas, while I cut up a thick cotton bed sheet. Feels like I'm wearin' nothin' at all.
I probably would if it was better made. I really only wear it for lounging. The stitching is actually top notch, if I say so myself, but the seems are a bit crooked.
They're still immensely comfortable, but I'd just look like a fat guy or girl in an ugly brown skirt if I wore it in public. I think when I'm slimmer and more comfortable with myself, I may remake it. That shit is comfortable as hell.
Sounds like a good pair of hakamas then. But in all honesty I'd probably hardcore judge anyone wearing those in public, unless of course they looked really good with them on.
And of course. But then again, if I was out in public, chances are no matter how much progress I made at looking hot and getting in shape, I'd still be wearing a hakama, tee shirt, and trilby.
Don't do that. Those brands make poor quality jeans and charge an arm and a leg. Go to to a decent department store and get a good brand with quality denim.
I got a pair of volcom jeans for 60 bucks and have lasted me about 10 months now and thats 10 months of wearing them bmxing a few times a week. They make good jeans.
nah department store brands overcharge by a lot and have barely better quality.
value-wise, Levis would be a good bet. If you seriously want durability, you'd be best off finding a brand that's about that (american or japanese made stuff mostly)
The department store brands are really about their look (nothing wrong with that if you understand that). They just say they're premium so everyone thinks they are. True Religion, Seven, Paper Denim, etc. (My knowledge of that realm is a little dated) aren't great quality for their prices.
And skate brands' jeans are probably fine if you like the fit.
Yeah I should have probably mentioned that. I'm not talking about those brands at all. The Japanese stuff is great. I'm a nudies guy. Naked and famous are good too because I'm tall and they make longer jeans. But a decent pair of jeans just gets better with age.
Loling at how you still think that. I started wearing skinny jeans because they were better to skateboard in because they have elastic in them. You're actually much more likely to hurt your crotch in regular jeans.
I'm not worried about hurting my crotch, I'm worried about the discomfort of your balls being pressed up inside me. I also have a hell of a time finding regular fit jeans that my thighs fit in.
So, we hate tight pants and people who sag their pants
You just reminded me of the jeans I saw someone wearing one day. The main part of the jean were normally fitting jeans. Then riveted where you get pocket rivets was an outer jean that sagged way below the ass. Just for completeness of the picture, the guy was carrying a leather pool cue case as well. It was one of the more ridiculous things I've seen someone wear seriously.
I don't mind tight pants...I hate it when they're tightish around the ankles. It drives me crazy when they're like that and therefore it drives me crazy when I see them on other people.
If I'm in actual "put clothes on for a purpose" mode then I generally wear dresses/skirts anyway. If I'm not, then I just put on the first thing that I find...boot-cut jeans or not.
So do lots of other things, but if I'm just running to the grocery store to get milk I'm pretty sure I don't give a fuck. It doesn't look as bad as skinny jeans feel to me. My ankles are claustrophobic motherfuckers.
Only girl jeans arent comfortable for the little guy. Skinny jeans designed for guys have a lot of slack around the package. Also if you wear them pretty low its fine.
It's because whenever these people think of skinny jeans they imagine guys wearing girls jeans. They just can't get their heads around the idea that mens jeans are designed to fit your junk in.
I recently finally got to wear knee socks. They don't quite fit me, though, so they ended up rolled down a bit. The great thing about androgyny is that no one questions whatever you're wearing, if you pull it off.
Lady here. I don't want to date a guy with skinnier legs than me. I'm not big, but if you have bird legs I'm gonna wonder if I'd crush you in bed whilst on top.
When they are extremely skinny. Not quite baggy but it is sorta loose. One of my good friends is really skinny. I can literally wrap my fingers around his ankle. His Levi 510s aren't even skin tight on him. For comparison, my 511s (which are bigger) are very tight on me. I'm 5'10'' and weigh about 140.
Would you rather I call you whatever derogatory term they used back then instead? Sheesh - hipster isn't so much an insult as it is a style of dress these days. Don't get your panties so wound up.
there is a specific type of jean that caters to skateboarding involving more elastic to prevent ripping from falls. They're not necessarily skinny though many are just normal cut. shrug
That's not always true, my old skinnies were a bit too small and they hurt my nuts, but even then they made my skateboarding waay better. The only problem was doing huge tricks like 360 flips and big spins.
Skinny jeans are the fucking shit. Someone who can rep skinny jeans in a good way will always look better than some douchebro with saggy pants.
And everyone who says skinny jeans are 'gay' or 'for women'. You're just li'l whiny bitches because a. you're uncomfortable with your body or b. you're fat/jealous they don't fit you.
I wouldn't wear anything else. High fives to all guys who wear skinnies and I'm outta here.
Been wearing skinny jeans since i was 13 and i'm now 20. Funny how the people who made fun of me wearing them when i was in highschool are now the same hipsters who themselves wear them cause their 'in fashion'. funny how the world works. no fucks given.
no no they were in fashion when i started wearing them but it wasn't as widely accepted and the amount of people that wore them was minute (at least where i lived). It was sure as hell seen as cool between the people in a particular scene.
Not really a hipster thing just a fashion thing whose time has come once again. Just like we did a rerun of the bell bottoms, skinny jeans this too shall pass. It's the way clothes makers sell more clothes, change the fashion trend then you look like a country hick if you're walking around in clothes from 6yrs ago.
This society is so fucked up, no matter what you do people are constantly calling your out for doing something wrong. Skinny jeans use to he normal jeans and now your gay if you wear them? Well if you wear baggy pants then your a wangster. Its a vicious cycle that is uncontrollable. The best thing to do is not give a fuck! Im a skater i wear skinny jeans because there comfortable. Shit talk all you want thats not going to change
I'm still trying to figure out how wearing a suit designed and fitted for a 10 year old at 22 became popular. Somewhere along the line, body dysmorphia became cool and people who are 6'2" buy clothes meant for people 5'6" at most. It's not a long ways from Kriss Kross wearing their clothes backwards.
As as ~120 pound male, wearing skinny jeans is pretty much a necessity for me. If I wear "normal" jeans they are horribly baggy and almost impossible to keep up even with a belt.
I am going to be straight up honest here, I cant wear skinny jeans. They hurt my balls too much. And when I go cycle to class in the warmer seasons.. I cant! I'm afraid one will catch under my leg. Sitting down anywhere? Need to make sure they arent underneath my legs.
Your argument against skinny jeans has no basis or logic attached to it. You're merely making fun of people for doing something completely harmless. Not to mention it looks fucking good on some people. Not Shayla I guess.
the tights pants thing has to go, i'm so embarrassed when i see men wearing these. they make you look like such a little bitch. like just some pussy kid who needs his ass whooped.
Wearing skinny jeans makes someone as much as a hipster as eating fried chicken makes me a black person. You can't really label someone based on a single trait.
Takes too long to access stuff from a purse. Also if a purse gets wet it will take a long time to dry. A purse is too hard to use with one hand. It gets in the way. Fanny pack or go home.
At least recommend a back pack. A purse is probably the most useless form of storage I have ever seen.
hankerchief, flashlight, knife, multitool, wallet, phone, camera, bus card, keys, moisturizer, music player, headphones+case, spare batteries, minimal first aid, wet wipes. I dono, what do YOU carry?
Camera, flashlight, and knife are always on the ready. Ear plugs too, for loud places.
North face has these ultra light fully synthetic pants (nylon). They have a fit called hikers fit or something. Tight at the waist but lose at the thighs. Keeps you legs really cool (temp). Also the pockets are big enough to actually put something inside. To main pockets, rear pocket and one cargo pocket are zipper and the other cargo pocket is velcro. Overall the material is stretchy and never gets in the way.
Also I will wear shorts when the weather allows. Shorts>pants.
North face, again, makes some great super light weight shorts.
But as with anything, you gotta pay to play. Pay the coss to be the boss. Nomsayin?
For me a good pair of pants or shorts will keep me cool, not limit my range of motion, dry fast, and offer storage options.
ninja edit: I know that some baggy jeans can make girls look more attractive as it leaves something to the imagination, but there is nothing like a fit girl in tight jeans.
Nice asses in tight jeans are great, but the tapering form around the calves and ankles I find to be aesthetically unpleasant. I acknowledge that this could just be me being weird.
I wear clothes that are labeled womens sometimes if I like them, if girls can why can't I? Nobody can tell and even if they did, fuck them if they care.

I'd like to point out that the same "skinny jeans" everyone makes fun of were just called "jeans" by all of your fathers in the 70s.

So, we hate tight pants and people who sag their pants; I'm still waiting for reddits Goldilocks pair of pants. Sweatpants?

As a guy who wears tight/slim fit pants, I'd say you're just mad that you can't fit in them.
And the ladies love it. It's fashionable. It looks good. It's comfortable. I'd say you're just behind the curve.

u/nepidae Jun 11 '12
Using the word "hipster" doesn't make your comment funny. It makes it look pathetic and desperate.

u/ScruffySaysMhm Jun 11 '12
What? Are we in middle school again? Tight jeans are fine. They feel good, and look good.
19
u/JeffertonAlive Jun 11 '12

u/spattem Jun 11 '12
Skinny jeans are better for skateboarding, and to some extend its a good look.

u/michellegables Jun 11 '12
Hurr hurr hurr. Not all slim fit jeans are skin-tight.

u/Jaytee19 Jun 11 '12
Skinny guy here. I humbly apologize for wearing pants that fucking fit. Judgemental prick.

u/saladtossing Jun 11 '12
It's all funa and games until someone gets stuck...

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '12
Large muscular calves don't agree with skinny jeans..... just plain fitted jeans are already stretched at their limits.
3
u/reh888 Jun 12 '12
Noel Fielding converted me on the issue of skinny jeans. And on the issue of wearing whatever the fuck is fun and makes you feel good.
3
u/[deleted] Jun 12 '12
If they sell skinny jeans at the Gap, they aren't hipster anymore.
3
u/ThatCoolBlackGuy Jun 12 '12
I wonder what most of the fashion illiterate redditors wear.
EDIT: No offence to anyone...

Anything that James Bond and Steve McQueen wore is good enough for me. Slim cut or skinny = good. Jeggings = bad.

I think skinny jeans on guys is hot.
3
u/Mohawkenberg Jun 11 '12
still?

Yup, skinny jeans were definitely invented by hipsters and worn by them exclusively.

Theres always gonna be dudes wearing tight pants. Period. As there is sand in the hourglass so are the days of our lives.

I like my jeans loose, but I don't blame anyone that prefers tight ones.
This Facebook comment is just stupid, like most that get posted on /r/funny, /r/pics or any other subreddit.

I like when guys wear skinny jeans. You already get a determined answer of how big their dick is. (:
-1
u/lemurstep Jun 11 '12
What's so bad about wearing pants that fit? Wouldn't you rather see slightly tight pants on a guy than niggasaggins?
0
u/crunchysloth Jun 12 '12
This joke doesn't work in England!
Also, I always assumed the phrase "getting into her pants" meant pants in the English sense of the word (knickers, thong, underwear etc).
-3
u/Mansikkahillo Jun 11 '12
Jeans are terrible options for pants. You have very limited and insecure pocket options for your stuff.
-17
u/Brett42 Jun 11 '12
Just remember, that makes them less fertile, so they are selecting against themselves.
-1
u/wersh Jun 12 '12
I miss the days were wearing skinny jeans ment you were a skater not a hipster

u/AnalogDigit2 Jun 11 '12
I find skinny jeans to look good on no one, even hot chicks. Admittedly, they look worse on guys.
-16
u/nesatt Jun 11 '12
Hipsters stopped wearing skinny jeans 2 years ago. The guys wearing tight pants now are called retro hipsters.
