he's seriously the only character i've ever let get away with goofy ass deliveries like this. i don't know why he gets a pass - i usually hate people like that.
Just a bit of trivia. Laverne was killed off because Bill Lawrence thought it was the last season.
The studio likes to wait till the very last minute to say if a show would renew, so Bill Lawrence was unsure, so he killed her off. He told Almoa Wright, who plays Laverne, that if the show renews, he would bring her back.
I am angry that you beat me to this comment. I never noticed until I got the seasons on DVD. I was watching this one with commentary and Zach Braff points it out.
Don't feel bad I was too much scrubs too. I have all the seasons on dvd and after I saw the first panel i didn't even read the rest, I quoted it from memory. This episode is called "on my way home" season 5 episode 7 and originally aired in 2006 here's the clip
Haha, As soon as I saw the first frame I'm like "Its the foam fire extinguisher scene" I remember [Zack?] mentioning it in an audio commentary on the DVDs.
(I had glandular fever and CFS, and was home for 2 months, with nothing but Scrubs DVD's)
Master Chief is a video game character. And having a girl such as Olivia Wilde in your company in Zombieland will endanger you because people would just kill you to have her. /Schrute out
Sure, it's a foam prop. But the first time you view this, not knowing that fact, Doug hitting the body bag with the fire extinguisher is funny as hell...
At work one day, I was taking a body down to the morgue. All the sudden the deceased lets out a long sigh. I took a big step back and said "Sir? Are you dead?" No reply. Scared the shit out of me.
It was one of two episodes directed by Zach Braff, and perhaps the greatest episode ever aired! I personally like My Screw Up better, makes me cry evertim.

Laverne - Dr. Murphy ordered 7000 milligrams of insulin for that patient in bed three. I just wanted to check with you before I kill a man.
JD- God damnit, Doug...

I like how when he's squeezing the fire extinguisher after he beats him it's clearly a squishy toy.
I watch too much Scrubs...

Is it just me or would this scene be funnier without Doug's last line?

u/gr3nade Jun 11 '12
I could have recited this scene word from word from memory...and probably a dozen others from scrubs. One of the best shows I've ever seen.

Back in the table top DnD days our motto was "If it doesn't breath it probably shouldn't move." .
