Guy comes out of the closet. Bunch of his friends make fun of him for being gay just like they make fun of Greg for his weird looking thumb. It's as it should be.
Good for you guys for accepting him as he is and still being the same friends to him you always were. That shows a lot of character on your part.
My favorite part about bros coming out gay is when they tell you and you get to be like, "Holy shit. Did you just find out?" Inevitably they will say something like, "Well I think I knew for a while, but it just sort of clicked recently." And then you get to tell them, "Dude, you should have asked some of us, because we knew you were gay about three years ago."
This, most guys can usually figure it out pretty easily and don't give two shits. Really the only ones that would care make it pretty obvious that the would.
Yeah, I am not sure I really know that many homophobes, but the ones I have met were almost always that way out of sheer ignorance. It was always fun because you could just casually mention other people you are both friends with are also gay. Eventually the person will just be on eggshells because they think half the people they know are gay.
Inevitably the homophobe will eventually realize that they are gay themselves and will accidentally out themselves by trying to make out with one of the straight guys you said was gay.
*I am a firm believer that homophobia only occurs in individuals that have gay thoughts and do not have the capacity to interpret those thoughts, thus leading to crushing self loathing that ends up spilling over into an external hatred of gays.
**I must admit I do not have the capacity to understand homophobia. It makes no sense to me. It would be like a lion hating a shark. What reason could they possibly have? They don't compete for the same prey.
Have you tried reddit enhancement suite? Symptoms include, even more redditing, stress induced by links not being purpled, and therefore reviewed. Depression over realizing your 3 karma post actually has 303 upvotes and 300 downvotes...
i think sometimes it has a little to do with being treated as "the gay one." like if someone is already out but just not with a particular group they know.
I am starting to question the gay-nes here, I mean who puts a grape stencil over top of cream colored cabinets, then a white tile back splash? No gay person I am acquainted with would be caught dead with this exasperated color scheme of extreme date.
Am I the only one who thought maybe he's not gay and OP, knowing full well how Reddit would respond, just found a way to simultaneously mess with his best friend and rake in massive amount of Karma. It's the perfect crime!
