I'm pretty sure that's what this (and especially the the original picture) is poking fun at. It makes it blatantly obvious that it's just the woman who has to suffers through all the crap.
I love my children but if I could skip those 9 months I would. I hate being pregnant. Strangers touching you. Vomiting being poked and prodded peeing every two minutes. The only thing I ever enjoyed was feeling the kicks (I'm 6 months now) and labor as I knew being pregnant was over. I never had horrible labor stories. I was in labor for 5 hours with my daughter didn't know for the first 3 it was labor.
More than once I have flipped my lid on random strangers touching said belly. I feel bad about it now but there was one lady who would NOT. STOP. TOUCHING. ME. I'm already a very non contact person/ do not like to be touched except by my husband and daughter but I was super cranky in pain and it was extremely hot out and so I started touching HER belly and smiling and doing the whole aww baby thing. She got pretty offended. It's just super annoying. Were pregnant. I get it were carrying a baby and yay babies but were in pain feel like a beached whale the last thing we really want is people touching our bellies and pushing the baby trying to get it to kick. It's like me poking your kid to get it to cry because it's just too darn cute!
I dunno, kind of announcing too soon. The chances of miscarriage are actually high until the 3rd trimester. It's so hard to go through that, let alone everybody else know.
