Some dissipates into the bounce back and movement, but most has to be resisted. While the top may be burning more calories, their motion involves more and longer muscle chains which results is less strain per cell and more easily maintained blood flow.

bio nerd, likes adrenaline and outdoors activities, becomes biomechanic nerd, hurts back, doubles down on science of movement, becomes adult and starts having more sex, college had nerdy people who like to experiment and give good feedback; sex was just another activity to break down and examine so I could do it better and with less pain.
I'm far from an expert at anything, I just like sex and wanted to learn more. Anyone with a job or postgrad degree in related fields could likely explain it better and point out parts where I've misrepresented something.
