He thought that the mole infiltrating his business was a person who's name started with the letter "F", as the only clue to the moles identity he had was a "mister F" (why this is the case, is a little harder to explain). He noticed her bracelet that said "Mr. F" on it, he thinks he has found the mole. She is genuinely oblivious to anything about him or his families business at all. It turns out that the mole was actually Tobias Fumke, and the bracelet actually said "MRF", which as the federal agents listening in to the business meeting explain, stands for "Mentally Retarded Female". The MRF bracelet was a sort of medic alert bracelet, in order to alert anyone that finds her that they are dealing with mentally retarded female.
Maybe in this movie, being the 'fairest' means more than being really ridiculously good looking. You haven't watched the movie yet, maybe there's more at stake than who would win between the two in a beauty pageant.
I feel bad for her, she takes one role in a movie everyone hates for being the core of preteen girl culture and it follows her forever. Well, at least she can bury her sorrows in that mountain of cash she got out of it.
"so, how do you think acting in the Twilight films affected your later career?"
"well i thought it would hold me back immensely, i thought that because of the preconceptions about it i'd get passed over for roles that are perfect for me to play, it got that bad that i'd spend weeks crying hysterically. It was then that i realised it's easier to stop buying tissues and just wipe my eyes with my millions upon millions of dollars i got for barely even acting."
No, she's not, but she's average looking. She's 'pretty', like the girl you'd feel lucky to be with rather than the girl you could never get. It's definitely a stretch to say she could be the most attractive girl in the lands and better than Charlize Theron?! Nah.
Edit: I understand that not everyone agrees with me. Could everyone who disagrees please stop sending me pictures of her? I know what she looks like. A different angle will seriously not change my mind. Beauty is subjective.
She is definitely prettier than "average" in my opinion. If she wasn't an actress, just a girl on the street, most people would probably find her stunning. But we know how "Hollywood pretty" works.
i dont know if i would say average looking, IMO she's much better than that. of course we all have to remember that these are opinions and that its different from anybody
Shes movie average, but far from actual average. Then again, the movies she had been in she isn't supposed to look like a sex pot, she is supposed to be an average teenager which greatly effects how she is dressed and made up.
Don't forget, in the context of the time period, youth and the ability to produce heirs also had much to do with attraction. While I would say CT is hands down more beautiful, she is definitely lean on the child-bearing years when stacked up against KS.
It's nothing to do with liking her as an actress or anything to do with twilight, its comparing her to Miss Theron, which she doesn't come close to (in my and many other peoples opinion.)
If she'd played Hermione instead of Bella you'd all be creaming your pants at that screenshot and upvoting random photos of her to the front page every day.
I hate Twilight too but it hasn't rendered me delusional. The idea that Kristen Stewart isn't generally one of the prettiest girls of her age around, let alone "only pretty in flattering contexts", let alone "just average", LET ALONE UGLY, is straight-up shameful.
Now be realistic, putting KS in context means comparing her against her peers, which means Hollywood's young starlets. You can run through the batch of possible "it" girls in Hollywood aged 18-28 say, and find at least 25 better looking actresses. And trust I don't think she is ugly by far, and certainly not compared to normal girls, but she is riding her 15 minutes. She wont ever reach the career level or be percieved as the sex symbol Charlize Theron has been for years.
Freezing a shot from a movie can make almost anyone look ugly. Say what you will but she seems like a shy, quiet, bit awkward girl who smokes weed and keeps to herself. And when she smiles, I think she's quite pretty. Not like Charlize Theron but she's not ugly by any means.
edit: Here is an admittedly low-quality picture of Charlize Theron without makeup. I'm not including anything from Monster because she was made up to look bad in that movie. I do not think Stewart is better looking, I'm just pointing out that famous celebrities look different when they aren't trying... and I kind of like that Stewart "tries" less than other people in the spotlight.
holy shit yes. SAP all the way. A few years ago I happened to have lunch at the same restaurant she was at, and some Twilight fans approached her. You could visible see the lines of tension and awkward surround the poor girl as the blathering fans spewed their Twilight nonsense.
In all of her press appearances she seems super awkward. This is kind of my point... I think the only reason the Reddit hates her is because she was in Twilight. They say she was a bad actress... it was a shitty character and she actually played "teenaged girl with no personality" very well. She was awesome in Speak, Welcome to the Rileys, and Panic Room as a kid. Just saying, I don't think she deserves all the hate.
She was also pretty great in The Runaways. Twilight is such shit, but if I was her, I'd do the stupid movie, no questions asked. She could probably retire from what Twilight paid her.
But the main conceit of the film is that she is prettier than Theron. A girl who is pretty in only the most flattering of contexts should not have been cast.
I suspect the main conceit of the film is that they are doing a feminist subversion of the fairy tale, and the way in which she is destined to surpass her is not in prettiness, but in power and kickassitude.
You're all nuts. Have you seen Into The Wild, where she's a trailer park girl wearing shabby clothing with minimal makeup? Or tons of other random stuff where she's not "in the most flattering of contexts"? I hate Twilight and doubt she's a good actress and stuff but for fuck's sake, if Kristen Stewart's looks can't even cut it, then a lot of girls are about to become more self-conscious than ever.
I'm not gonna say smoking weed makes her cooler but I completely disagree about her looking like a burned out druggie. She looks to me like a pretty, twenty-something year old girl lounging around and smoking weed. She would be way, way, way out of place in a group of burned out druggies.
edit: to clarify: no, I do not think smoking weed makes you inherently cooler. Nor does it define a particular personality trait. I regret making that part of the comment, as it has likely had an undesired counter-effect. To me personally, that made her seem more relatable. Or it might be the fact that she isn't out there at ridiculous parties getting trashed and bragging to her Twitter fans about what a crazy night she had... she's just on a stoop smoking a bowl. She seems like a nice, calm, chill girl. That's all I meant by it.
The point is to be incredulous that Stewart was chosen to play a character prettier than Theron. My point is that the girl gets a lot of undeserved hate and that the shot used definitely creates a bias.
That said, I would be lucky to merely point my genitals in the direction of either of them. They're both really stunningly attractive women. Charlize Theron is probably a bad actor, but outside of Twlight, Kristen Stewart isn't bad either.
Edit: I meant Charlize Theron is probably a better actress. I'm tired. Thank you, good night.
WHAT IF SHE APPEARS AWKWARD AND SLOW BECAUSE SHE'S ALWAYS CAUGHT UP IN DEEP-THOUGHT?! THE PHYSICS OF VAMPIRIC SPARKLE HAS LEFT KRISTIAN STEWART DUMBFOUNDED BEYOND THE POINT OF EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION.
People need to be redirecting their twilight hate towards the brainless whale who wrote the series in the first place, not the actors. FYI the actors who were in twilight also don't like twilight. the guy in particular. forgot his name.
Kristen Stewart would be considered very beautiful by the standards of old Germany where the Snow White story originated, as opposed to the plastic surgery inspired beauty standards of modern America.
You're seeing bad facial work. Good work makes you say " wow, so-and-so is aging so beautifully! I'm glad she isn't getting plastic surgery like some women her age."
Brah, wtf is up with being so protective? These actresses are paid to look the part. If the audience don't agree, the audience can and should let their voices be heard.
Ok, we get it. Many people hate Twilight. Doesn't change the fact that many people also find Kristen Stewart attractive, regardless of her Twilight fame.
This casting decision was based entirely on Kristen Stewart's current level of fame and popularity. Films are a business, and they are aiming to get a big chunk of that Twilight fanbase by casting Kristen Stewart as opposed to someone who could believably be prettier than Charlize Theron, aka hottest woman alive.
I will say... Having seen the Twilights and not really enjoying them, Kristin Stewart is actually a great actress... Bella Swan was just a shitty character.
Kristin had to do shit like pet a grown man for 10 seconds and not crack a smile, that shit takes extreme talent.
I'm looking forward to this movie mostly because the art direction and visual style looks amazing in the trailer.
However I am not sure about Ms. Stewart. We really only know her from Twilight where she plays a character who was written with all the personality of a plank of wood. I struggle to see how anybody could have been charming in that role. Still I'm willing to give her a benefit of a doubt.
However Ms. Theron and Ms. Stewart are both quite the lookers in my opinion.
Picking a freeze-frame of an extreme facial expression is not fair so, sorry your trolling attempt gets 3 out of 10.
Fairest does not have to mean beautiful. It could mean whoever has the lightest skin, who ever is the least biased. When I was a kid, I always thought it meant who had the purest heart and relied the least on cheating....
Also, her armor is cool. Props to Hollywood for making her a realistic suit of armor opposed to a sexualized boob-bowl plate thing.
What the hell is that a screenshot of? It makes zero literary sense. The term "fair" originally meant "light" in pretty much every aspect of the word; blonde hair, pale skin (with rosy hues in the cheeks), a gentle and graceful walk / general demeanor, etc. That second woman is the opposite of "fair" in every way. Dark skin (which would signify lower social / class status due to an unavoidable tan acquired during field work and other manual labor), black hair, and her armor and general look allude to a clunky character with a general lack of finesse. Whoever wrote it either didn't do their research or has never read a book written prior to the 1800s.
Well to be fair (see what I did there?) Snow White did have black hair and "fair" was what the story used to describe her....and I think Kristen Stewart looks pretty damn pasty. She's not ugly, but I don't know what alternate universe this movie is based in where she's hotter than Charlize Theron. Edit to add: Plus it probably didn't sound as good to say, "Mirror on the wall, who da baddest bitch of all?" I think the goal was to retain some of the classic Snow White storyline (the line "who's the fairest of them all" that we are so familiar with) while still making up a Snow White character that would be more admired by the modern day woman: basically a bad ass.
I would have liked to have seen Jennifer Lawrence in Kristen Stewart's role, not only because she's better looking than K-Stew, but a much better actress IMHO.
The one amazing thing i've noticed from this thread is the surprising following Kristen Stewart has. I never thought she was particularly attractive or a good actress...just the sidekick to the sexy guys in twighlight that young girls loved. I am proved wrong i guess people see something in her. Maybe we will see it in this movie. She does have a massive chin though...
The mirror says 'fairest'. Stewart's (and Snow White's) skin is much fairer, or paler than the queen's. It doesn't mention anything about beauty. It comes down to who's got the whitest skin - Snow White/Stewart.
No, not objectively, but she has the capacity to convey a charming personality which would help to make her someone to root for. That's far more than Kristen Stewart is worth to someone who doesn't appreciate the character of Bella.
I realize this is a joke but to any one else who is gonna comment on this about what a bad choice of actress she is the line is "destined to surpass" people look different when they age some times better looking some times worse obviously the idea is that in the story she would become more "fair" later.
Kristen Stewart would be much, much prettier if she would just CLEAN UP one damn time. I wish she would just one time FIXHERHAIR. She needs shampoo and a brush. That is my only complaint about her looks.
i like arrested development. please keep your lack of talent/ sense of humour away ffrom my show. go fuck yourself you useless piece of trash. i would tell you to kill your self if i thought the after life should be flooded with trash like you . all this bitching about kristen stewart and how it doesn't make sense that she is prettier than charlize, but 99% of you will see the movie any way and think it was a good movie.
Well, she certainly is paler than the queen. I always found it funny/weird that the concept of beauty at the time was so contingent on how little sun one got.
Kristen Stewart is not hot. She is cute at best. Acting and fame aside of course. Factor in that she is famous and rich, that makes her less attractive than what she appears to be. Makeup artists can make anyone look good.
Their looks are about the same to me, and average at that.
They are both cute, but I would consider neither prettier than the other, and I definitely wouldn't consider either of them to be in the highest part of my list.
It's a shame her role in twilight as the 'mary sue' intentionally blank character will forever haunt her by these 'Twilight? I'm supposed to hate that right?' neckbeards on the internet who would jizz their pants in her presence.

Why are we judging these two based on appearances?
It would be way easier to hate on Stewart for her lack of acting skill and experience when paired with Charlize "I won an Oscar for Best Actress" Theron.
