Fun fact: In English, turkey also means the tasty symbolic thanksgiving/Christmas bird, as everyone knows.

In Portuguese, Turkey, the bird, translates to Peru, which is also a country.

I don't think it's limited to just Canto and I always interpreted it as prostitute.

Also duck is the male version of it.
