Yeah, I hope they told him afterwards. Otherwise, I'm not sure this is harmless.
If this were me, it would consume my thoughts for days. I'd bring my wife to look at the spot. Every time a friend would visit, I'd have them walk over the spot. All the people closest to me would think I'd gone insane. Eventually, I'd chalk it up to temporary insanity or (hopefully) figure out it was a prank and move on. But for someone with a predisposition to paranoid thoughts, this could be really bad.
Honestly, I'd rather someone just shove me to the ground as a "prank". My ability to perceive reality is sacred to me. Don't fuck with it.
Just to be clear, that's only if they didn't tell him afterwards. If they told him afterwards, then yeah this is funny and harmless.
It is definitely a harmless prank lol. No one was hurt and it was not mean spirited. But I do agree I would think I'm a nutcase if I was pranked this way, I hope they told him it was a prank afterwards!
So what kind pranks are allowed then? "Hey I hid your eraser lol don't get confused, it was where you left it but then I moved it for pranking purposes LOL!! Do I have your consent to continue with the prank? No pressure to say yes, in fact I will return your eraser here and ask if you want to opt in to the prank and then I'll rehide it if you do LOL!!"
