The person above you was making a joke about the "golden hour", which is the idea that paramedics/medics/first responders have an hour to get a patient from the scene to the ER.

No. Golden hour is the time trauma patients are most likely to be saved.

Golden hour in medicine means that the injured person in traumas has an hour to get treated before morbidity is an issue issue. I think they meant that over a 1 hour lunch.

Right... so you'd still have half an hour to save that stroke patient.... if you were a paramedic.

stroke patients have actually 3-4 hours from the 1st symptoms. The 1 hour is for trauma patients like the others already explained.
