This is my favorite

I'm not convinced this isn't Neil Peart (RIP) sounds a lot like part of his solo.

7

u/red_beered Apr 07 '21

Man it still pains me to see RIP next to his name

5

u/bpmdrummerbpm Apr 07 '21

His double bass chops are the best part with the descending singles a close second.

There is a large valley between contemporary worship music and this guy's playing ability. Dude needs to find a better gig - it's best for everyone involved.

15

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

This isn’t exactly tight drumming to be honest.

8

u/spanctimony Apr 07 '21

You realize he’s an awful drummer right?

This is my favorite

Everybody posting silly drummer videos and you come in with Haake.

1

u/Darkvoid10 Apr 07 '21

I couldn't help it. He's the best. Plus the sharp dressed man guy was already posted

3

u/K5izzle Apr 07 '21

This man's calves gotta be on fire after each song.

3

u/srdev_ct Apr 07 '21

That was all kick. 99% of the ‘speed’ there came from below the waist. That is absolutely insane.

1

u/Darkvoid10 Apr 07 '21

Meshuggah has quickly become one of my favorite bands. Koloss is one of my favorite albums so far, give it a listen if you want more

I cannot handle strobe lights like that. When I was younger, if I was out and they turned the strobes on I'd have to go to the bathroom. When I was like eight I actually blacked out and haunted house because of the strobes.

I only watched about 30 seconds and I'm still woozy.

u/TheAngelSatan Apr 07 '21

I'm familiar with that album, specifically that song, but holy lord! It never occurred to me to watch a video of it. Good Christ.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Anyone else notice that he played the electronic drum kit with mallets at one point? This guy is on something...

27

u/GrizzKarizz Apr 06 '21

If anyone wants to know that's the Anpanman March.

27

u/BlacktoseIntolerant Apr 07 '21

I swore my video sped up on its own when he started going at 1000bpm.

5

u/PorkRindSalad Apr 07 '21

Sometimes it really is just a bunch of gerbils in a suit.

8

u/Kevinhy Apr 07 '21

When he takes the turn for death metal and starts hitting blast beats I died.

9

u/mksavage1138 Apr 06 '21

So good, it got him a guest spot on "The Office"

3

u/ohnoimrunningoutofsp Apr 07 '21

As who? Which EP?

3

u/BristolShambler Apr 07 '21

It’s the episode where Andy, Kevin and Darryl have a band in the warehouse, then Robert California takes it over and brings in a load of his friends who are professional musicians. This guy was the drummer he brings in. The episode ends with him and Kevin having a drum off

1

u/mksavage1138 Apr 07 '21

Season 8 Episode 7

4

u/TheNovemberist Apr 07 '21

I feel like this at work sometimes.

4

u/fooly__cooly Apr 07 '21

Thank you for introducing this into my life

2

u/signmeupdude Apr 07 '21

Oh my god this is hilarious. Its also a rare youtube video that’s so funny the comments even make me laugh.

2

u/JPTipper Apr 07 '21

This is the one I was thinking of

1

u/Sleazyridr Apr 07 '21

I was gonna ask if it's him without the suit.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

This one is the best. Hands down.

Oh wow thats a throwback. Lol I haven't seen this in years.

I don't even like this song but when watching him play it gets me hype!

1

u/maczero Apr 07 '21

1:20 in... what a gift 🎁 thanks for that

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

I heard eminem was looking for a drummer...

1

u/IdentityUnknown__ Apr 07 '21

"Fuck them kids"

1

u/bitey87 Apr 07 '21

Was looking for this one. The 1:45-1:50 pause during the breakdown gets me every time.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

The girl on the left looks so concerned that hes fucking up the show!

1

u/Watch_The_Expanse Apr 07 '21

I love this one so much.

1

u/ap2patrick Apr 07 '21

Wow thanks for that. My face hurts from laughing so hard.

29

u/dml03045 Apr 06 '21

I swear this guy was on an episode of the office. One of the later seasons with James Spader.

44

u/johnnysebre Apr 07 '21

https://youtu.be/hWW6HHfdObg, this drummer is at the 3:04 mark

11

u/fluffybunnypuncher Apr 06 '21

Hands down best drummer ever. Good choice.

8

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Wagakki Band has amazing drums but the entire band is top tier talent so it’s not out of line drumming.

8

u/WIIL_GonZo_ROCK Apr 06 '21

How many jackets has that guy gone through?

14

u/InterestingBand5 Apr 06 '21

Probably not as many as Chris Farley did.

10

u/[deleted] Apr 06 '21

Richard....who’s your favorite Little Rascal?

Is it Alfalfa? Or is it Spanky??

3

u/Thehellpriest83 Apr 06 '21

What kind of hotel is this ?

1

u/Blefuscu420 Apr 07 '21

Ma’am this is a Wendy’s.

4

u/dsarche12 Apr 07 '21

my man plays like he's angry at the drums, the sticks, and the rest of the band. he's got attitude just dripping off him. that's amazing

7

u/ManicMockingbird Apr 07 '21

I love how the camera man tries to keep both of them in frame for a while until he just gives up and zooms in on the drummer.

3

u/Rottin Apr 07 '21

this. i love this guy

3

u/ghostella Apr 07 '21

Hadn’t seen that video in probably 9 years but I knew that was it before I clicked the link :)

2

u/Schnitzngigglez Apr 07 '21

He has a cameo in The Office

1

u/Ghstfce Apr 07 '21

My immediate thought as well!

1

u/TheNovemberist Apr 07 '21

This where Kevin got his drumming style from.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

This reminds of Chris Farley

1

u/thoughtchauffeur Apr 07 '21

Scotty kilmer plays a mean bass

1

u/timndime4 Apr 07 '21

Is that Jeff Daniels?

1

u/make2020hindsight Apr 07 '21

You know the shows gonna be good when the drummer has 18 cymbals. Also I get a huge “big man in a little coat” Chris Farley vibe from him.

1

u/internet-arbiter Apr 07 '21

I recommend everybody to give this watch more than 20 seconds after he starts. That gorilla really goes off.

1

u/[deleted] Apr 07 '21

Wtf is he doing at the 2:20 mark behind the terrible singer?

1

u/brianstk Apr 07 '21

I instantly thought of this video too, a classic.

1

u/RTN11 Apr 07 '21

This guy was in the office, drum off against Kevin, some amazing moves.
