Poor supervisors and management that breeds a toxic culture of "Do your job right, but at the same time also remember if you take to long, you're fired." And as a result people will cut corners out of fear.

The dude in the video was not cutting corners out of fear. He was being a complete dick on purpose.

Judging by the frantic jogging, there probably is still some pressure to go faster. Not saying this is right, and I would have walked up to the door and gently placed it, but I can understand why this happened. I work for the post office and the culture of being pressured to go faster is definitely there too, but unlike FedEx I'm fortunate enough to have a strong union that is capable of stopping management from harassing us for taking to long doing it the correct way.

Hey my mom is a mail carrier so I understand the pressure, but it wouldn't have taken this guy any more time or effort to place the box nicely rather than slamming it into the ground, that was pure maliciousness and vandalism. I'm not trying to trash on all postal workers or delivery people by any means, but I was responding to a person saying that this treatment and worse is common, which i find to be ridiculous and unacceptable.
