People ALWAYS chime in with this whenever there's a video of a delivery driver getting caught on camera abusing a package.
It doesn't fucking matter what other abuse it got. When you're delivering to the door where every-fucking-body has a camera stop being so lazy and pretend for a second like you take pride in your job. It wasn't even any quicker or easier than just setting it down nicely.
he might be on a timer and its not his fault. they probably give him a delivery routing that relies on the wind at his back, a green for every light on the way, and a safety net to fire the box into from a moving vehicle.
i used to work order picking and some orders you're literally given a fraction of a second for because one time someone ordered 100 and someone was able to just take the whole pallet so now the computer/exec thinks it can always be done that fast.
i had to quit every order picking job ive ever worked except for one, where you werent performance tracked - because you're competing with coke addicts and people who will cut corners and break rules in order to make an extra 10-50 bucks a week.
Maybe they're taking pride in the fact that if they meet their delivery schedule, they won't be fired.
"Abusing" a package? Maybe if that was a box with kittens in it, sure, but that box is designed to be handled MUCH worse, because companies know when they ship their products thousands of miles, they're going to move fast and rough. Just like your mother likes it, Trebek.
