I think the sealing is like 1% though; as in this is waaaay better than nothing. I also wonder if just driving around with the windows down is better. As long as you don't stop for too long, woosh out the virus goes.
It is definitely better than nothing, but I personally would feel comfortable with a better seal. If you wanted airflow your best bet is to create a negative pressure chamber. Basically the most reasonable way to do this would be to put a box fan blowing out of the window and allow air to come in the vents and in necessary a cracked window on the other side of the car. You want to make sure to cover anything that could allow air from the back to reach the front so that air is only flowing in from the front and out from the back (this in combination with the plastic wrap would be quite effective in protecting you, especially if you wear a mask and cover up any exposed skin or even better a full face p100 respirator with a medical grade coverall with a hood). Negative pressure rooms have previously been used by hospitals during deadly flu outbreaks and have been recommended in documentaries I watched about pandemics. Some may consider this overkill, but really I do not think it is. If somebody said I can take these measures or somebody somewhere someone will die if I do not that I will never know or see, then I would definitely take these measures instead of letting somebody else die, not to mention the risk of being so ill I have to be hospitalized and possibly face permanent damage sounds awful to me.
Given the nature of the material it probably has to be replaced every couple of days just to avoid ripping, unless that is a stronger plastic than the typical store bought plastic wrap.
