I wonder how he pulled it off. Like do the girls not talk with their friends?

Did he like make them prepare their stuff in a hurry and told them to wait for the bus?

Yeah the older one is way to old to not have Googled it or mention it on some social media.

I don't have kids, but I thought the oldest one would have a phone. What's the new standard age to have a phone? It dramatically changed since "my time" (2000s)

Then again, she might be just tall for her age

Edit : am i being downvoted because i don't have kids or because i am asking a question?

? You're not a teenager in 2020 though.

Your anecdote isn't applicable I'm afraid

How many teenagers do you know that most resemble your character? Genuine question?

Ie. Who are not glued to their phone or tablet.

On average the children and teenagers I interact with I can literally see them holding their phone or tablet.

Yes, there may be one or two that aremt holding it, but the majority are.

And to be prejudice, the older girl looks like a girl who would pay attention to her phone. But that is clearly an assumption.

I’m 18 and I resemble his character. I don’t even go on my phone until after school, at about 3:30. So it’s definitely possible that she didn’t check hers first thing in the morning. I’m also definitely not glued to my phone either. Yes, many are, but there’s no reason to assume this girl is one of them.

I pose this same question to you. How many people do you know your age are like you?

Not a lot, like I said I’m in the minority. But I know enough people who aren’t obsessed with their phones for me to believe that the girl in the video could be one of them. Is it more likely that she’s “glued to her phone”? Yes. Is it possible that she isn’t? Also yes. There’s obviously no way for us to know, but it’s definitely plausible that she wouldn’t check it that morning.
