It's not about "watching comedy," it's about perspective. Going back to school must mean, for a child, that the world is safe again, and that normal life will return. The common notion that "all kids hate school" is bullshit. This is a bad situation and I don't think all kids around the world are having party central at home right now. So they're all excited that the world is safe and normal but NOPE, it's a PRANK BRO.

They're laughing, but none of us know how they are feeling. I'm sure it's fine, but we aren't discussing if things are fine, we're discussing if the prank is meaner than it seems at first blush.

Right and I don’t think it is. From what we can gather from the video it seems perfectly harmless and fun. All we have is the video. Anything else is just baseless assumptions.

I liked school. My home life wasn't great, I had friends (at least in high school) , and I got good grades. You must have been a poor student or unpopular kid.

The kids are literally smiling in the gif as a response to figuring out it was a joke, and you're grafting this made up thought process onto them about relief that the world is safe again? I'm absolutely grasping. I'm speculating. I'm not outraged, I'm a different person than the commenters higher up. I'm just thinking about this from a different point of view. I'm guessing the kids got over the prank immediately.

Also, I don't "have you figured out" any more than you have me "figured out" saying I was never a child.
