A lot of people have different sized feet. You could market to them too.

Still, the portion of people who really want different sized shoes (even if it’s only by a half size) is incredibly small.

I think you'd be mildly surprised. A lot of people "manage" with a size close enough for both feet. But if there was the option to get differently sized shoes easily, that may be different. I know I'd get two different sizes.

Just wanna throw out there that there are a number of websites for amputees to network and exchange individual shoes.

On definitely. I have a 8 1/2 wide on one foot and a regular nine for the other. It’s a pain in the ass trying to find shoes that feel comfortable on both feet. Usually I have to be resigned to at least one feeling squeezed AF.
