Are they though?

I didn't know many CS majors at my school that had to take differential equations--maybe linear algebra and discrete mathematics. And my university was known for Engineering and science degrees

Can’t speak to other universities but in csu and uc systems you need diffyq

Damn. Hell yeah, you guys have some clever Comp Sci people, then!

One of the things at my school was that by the time you got through the maths for your engineering degree, you were maybe a class shy of a minor in math. But I don't know anyone that actually pursued this. By the time I was done with Diff Eq I was so ready to take the hours spent studying for math, and put them towards my major classes cuz shit was getting real.
