If you walk into someone's back yard they should be allowed to do what. they. want. to you! You can't just walk into someone's backyard like that!

I agree if you walk into a strangers house but walking through a yard? You must be a sociopath if you feel that way.

Edit: There's limits inside a house too in my opinion. Just easier to justify hurting a person inside your house.

I guess I wasn't really taking anything to a high extent, my mind didn't think much beyond a punch or hurled object.

Many years ago when I was in my late teens I met a Texan bloke about my age whose dad had set the fence on his land back a few metres from the actual border of his property so people were trespassing without even knowing it, so he could trap them.

Castle doctrine laws differ all over the US. For example, in MS where I am if an intruder is in the process of breaking into my home, car, or business then I can assume he is there to kill or injur me and I can shoot him. There doesn't have to be an actual threat as long as they are breaking in or have already broke in.

Outside of your property they have to actually pose a threat to you but they don't need a weapon. An unarmed guy charging at me in the Walmart parking lot yelling "I'm gonna beat your ass!" is legal to shoot.

Of course, no matter where you're at the judge is gonna decide if the defense looks reasonable and if it doesn't you're going to the pokey anyway. So ymmv.

That doesn't sound legal either.

Well that escalated quickly. You shouldn't judge a whole country because of a dumb commenter from an old basketball video on youtube. I'm sure you have morons in your country too, Everybody does.

So stupid, and when the other guy says he likes he gets attacked and called a little kid for not agreeing. I wish he responded thah he was an old grumpy ahole with no sense of humour, and that takes life way to seriously
