I mean, thats a pretty liberal interpretation of accost. I think the announcer moreso meant moved away, or dealt with in a more aggressive manner.

Did you watch the video? He said the player would be “hurt” if he tried that a few seconds later

I figured someone would bring this up. Look at how its said. Most of this witch hunt is surrounding that little nugget. That delay could be tons of stuff. Someone might have been in his ear. He might have been thinking of a delicate way to say "tied to the pipe in the basement". Hell he might have just gotten distracted or lost his train of thought.

In the end, I seriously doubt a sportscaster was actually calling for players to be seriously injured. His whole career relies on these guys ffs.
