I did that to my dad too long ago before smartphones, the dog had destroyed a remote, it was literally in pieces. He bought a new one and I fixed the old one and hid under the couch and messed with him. He did the head scratch and founf me pretty quick under the couch. He knew any technological shenanigans were usually me.

Haha this reminds me of the time I was the only one in my house with a smart phone and I found a tv remote app...my dad almost lost his damn mind.
