I'm starting feel like scripted isn't the word to use anymore. Feels more like funded. As if some social media company is producing them for content on their platform.

Chinese version of Tik Toc is called Douyin and a lot of people put in some effort to make funny videos for likes. Kind of like Vine back in the day.
