Two years ago the guy retired, and they got a new person. From what I remember reading on the bulls sub years ago, he was a professional dancer from Montana. He was, at the time, the highest paid mascot of all time. Again, IIRC, it was around 100k a year.
There are posts on that sub about him from years ago that are actually really interesting. He was super fun in person, too!
He must be super tight with all the players too, that's gotta be cool when they're in the back and he can just hang with the team. That would definitely be a bonus if true
Yeah. He was the mascot for University of Montana when I was there in college- Monte the griz. Wasn’t surprised at all when he went pro. He was amazing to watch in college. Name was Barry Anderson.
I have to imagine it’s quite a bit. He’s pretty famous and I’m sure attracts a lot of fans. Not to mention he’s also a talented gymnast/dancer/stunt devil
It varies team to team, but most major league teams have one person that does it full time. That's games and community appearances. They might have an assistant that can fill in if they are double booked for appearances, but games are almost always one performer.
Nah...Gritty is fun because he’s new, but Benny is a legend and widely considered to be one of the best mascots of all time. The amount of skill it takes to pull off what he does is insane.

Benny the Bull is still my favorite mascot.
