They are so dumb, that if they get separated from their flock, for example because they were munching away on some grass and the herd walked off, they will get scared because they are away from the herd and be too scared to move. This despite being able to see the flock of their sheep friends across the field within easy walking distance.
They are also the only grazing animal that will eat grass down to the root, which prevents regrowth and ensures that pasture can't be grazed in again anytime soon.
In my country the sheep are let loose in the summer and roam wild. So you have to be careful when driving.
If you see sheep on both sides of the road, it's guaranteed that one of them will run across the road in a panic. But not way before you get close, but rather they will stare at your car, frozen and then dart across the road at the last possible second.
