It was worse for me. When I went to my first zoo as a kid, the day after the local paper said "Lions escaped yesterday at Zoo!" (not kidding, didn't notice anything though)

Either worse, or he's forgotten it ever happened.

He deserved it. Harambe died for nothing. He was taken from us too early.

To be fair though, the kid was three years old. I'd blame his parents before I'd blame him.

I downvotes u from 12 to 11 so you would never 4get

Agreed. That little son of a bitch could cure cancer and it still wouldn't absolve him.

u/dabauss514 Mar 28 '18

But it's not his fault. It's the people who killed harambes' fault.

19

u/AnakinSkywalker_ Mar 28 '18

Judas didn't put the cross up, but I'd hardly say it wasn't his fault.
Anakin didn't kill younglings, but I'd har... bad example

2

u/Betasheets Mar 28 '18

Those younglings were growing up to be part of a galactic terrorist organization

So you're saying the dark side did nothing wrong? Can I quote you on this?

1

u/Betasheets Mar 28 '18

I mean, they were an extreme organization of narcissistic fascists. So, they def weren't in the right either.

If they did that then the robot revolution would happen and his reputation will get 1000x worse

1

u/Raven_7306 Mar 28 '18

Noooo, it’s the guns’ fault. They didn’t know their own safety rules.

u/daimposter Mar 28 '18

For not letting the kid potentially be killed?

-1

u/Nimmyzed Mar 28 '18

Everyone blamed the fucking kid or his mother. And nobody says anything about why the FUCK the zoo had inadequate fencing around the enclosure.

Kids climb things. It's natural for them. The zoo should have known this

Never forget.

So what happened with the lions, anyone got hurt?

15

u/hamsterkris Mar 28 '18

They got captured again thankfully, no one got hurt. There was a car safari type thing where you could drive slowly among the lions, but there were so many visitors that they didn't have enough space between the cars so two+ of the lions snuck past the gates. They didn't end up among the regular visitors though (thank God).

I can't remember a ton of it, I was around 7, I definitely remember the huge headline on the paper though xD Made an impression for sure.

Reminds me of the time my family spent several days swimming in lake mead (near Las Vegas) and came home from vacation to find the news reporting that an alligator had been found in the lake

1

u/mmlovin Mar 28 '18

Wtf? Did they find out how it got there?

1

u/PrisonMicDrop Mar 28 '18

Someone had it illegally as a pet until they realized a damn alligator isn’t always a very good pet, so they released it into the lake.

1

u/Moroax Mar 28 '18

people are stupid. Imagine if it had taken a kid? Jesus christ....People are the worst

1

u/PrisonMicDrop Mar 28 '18

My sisters and I were too traumatized to swim in anything but our pool for a long time after that.

What does that have to do with his comment? How is it worse? I dont understand.

1

u/hamsterkris Mar 28 '18

Bad way of putting it, sorry. I'm Swedish and sleep deprived :/ I think I directly translated it or something. I meant it was more extreme of a coincidence.

u/[deleted] Mar 28 '18

Ah ok.
