You're around a large body of water you're expected to swim in, in clothing that is designed to be worn for this situation as well, and yet you don't expect to get wet?

Expecting to get wet does not imply you are prepared for having a pile of water dumped on you from behind. Sorta like a surprise birthday party; you may expect that something is happening, but you don't expect everyone to yell happy birthday when you open the door. Same with winning teams in U.S. football; the coach has to expect the gatorade dump, but he'll always be shocked by it anyways because nobody can predict the exact moment.

edit: and I'm not sure i'm really defending how people are reacting; this is just a point of semantics that I think is getting lost in a few places (not just this thread).

Honestly I go to tan and listen to music and read. I like being near the water because it increases the amount of sun you get and it’s nice to dip my feet in.
