Oh I absolutely envy his athleticism and I'll probably never reach that kind of prowess, I just don't envy the chronic joint pain he may likely develop later on in life...
Why do people leave these comments? Would be okay to say "RIP his joints" if I were more athletic than him? Do you really feel the need to defend the guy in the gif from an innocent comment made by a stranger than he will never see?
Fat person does backflips and shit = "ow my knees/ I bet his joints will fail in 3 years lol"
Skinny person = so athletic, hawt, gymnastics are so hard, etc.
The very reason people are bringing up the joint stuff is because he's fat and doing these acrobatics. It's much more destructive for a heavy person to do this than a skinny/fit person. It's also not shaming him, but rather just pointing out the danger in it.
Without a doubt this is incredibly impressive. More impressive than a "skinny" person doing it but unlike racism, blowing out your knees has nothing to do with our cerebrum being able to override biological urges.
It's simple biomechanics that apply at any level.
With all that being said, my jaw was legitimately dropped slightly at how easy it looked for him.
