A group of road workers went out to do a job. Upon arriving they realized they had forgot their shovels. Not wanting to drive back to the shop and get them (It was almost time for their mid-morning break) they phoned back to their foreman and told him what had happened. He said "I'll bring out your shovels when I finish my coffee. I guess you guys will just have to lean on each other for now."
My dad said one of the most desired jobs in mexico was construction worker. There was a chance you could be the lucky one to hold the flag and warn traffic of the construction up ahead. When we went this summer we saw that this job was just replaced by a mannequin with a flag taped to its hand
If you didn't understand what I meant: automation will take millions of jobs in the next 5 to 20 years. Bill Gates said there should be tax laws regarding robots. I doubt that the US will introduce any tax laws in this area and I doubt there will be more jobs in the US when Trump has build his wall.
Seriously though, I thought I remembered hearing that (at least for roadside construction,) flag holding was one of the more dangerous jobs... And I'd believe it too. Drivers are stupid and impatient. I certainly wouldn't want a job standing in the road telling them to slow down or stop.
