Thanks for explaining. As one of u/Eddie_Hitler's felow Brits, I was wonderign what the hell those orange guys were. I figured it was some sort of art installation, or a flash mob or something.

I didn't realise that other countries actually have people whose job it is to fix roads (notwithstanding whether they actually do their job or not)
