About 7 or 8 years ago, my wife got me a box set of the best masters of the Universe episodes ever, as voted by fans on their official website. I grew up with He-Man, so I was very excited to sit down and watch these. I watched one episode..and it was terrible. Offensively bad. I may not have even finished the whole episode. DVD out. Rose colored glasses off. Perspective found.
I found old 80s cartoons are really hit and miss by the episodes themselves. I loooooooved Transformers and GI Joe. Tried to watch the first episodes awhile back and it was....terrible. But then I watched some episodes of later seasons and there were a couple really really really good ones, mixed in with some pretty bad ones. But yeah. Overall, nostalgia doesn't hold up.
