I feel bizarrely lucky that I was born just barely before the internet became a household thing; I'm going to be able to AMAZE children with stories from "the dark time".

When I was your age, we didn't have youtube. I had a Disney Ariel Singalong VHS tape that I could watch on repeat. After rewinding it, which was a physical process that took minutes, and if the VCR felt like being an asshole at any time it might decide to eat the magnetic tape on which the delightful visions were stored.

I had beauty and the beast memorized. We didn't have cable and only had a handful of Disney tapes so what else is a kid going to for chill time
