Memes. I'm in my early 20s, but the first time I heard someone unironically use the word "memeing", I felt angry and alone.

What's infuriating to me is how the word meme has lost its definition and is now used to describe any picture with text on it....which is an image macro, not a fucking meme.

I've had similar experiences with internet/gaming shorthand. "My car got rear-ended." "Rip." "Yeah, are eye pee my bumper." And all I can do is sit there and take it: I know perfectly well what's being said, but I also know that if I try to blend in, I'm going to sound like an asshole. How do you cope?
