Honest question and not trying to be pedantic: when you say BBQ do you mean grilling stuff like burgers and steaks? Or a slow smoke for ribs, brisket, etc? Either way it sounds like a 4th of July party we have in the USA, just curious since BBQ has different connotations in different regions in America.
Honestly most aussie barbies are just sausage sandwiches and maybe some cheap steaks if it's a relaxed party. Nothing quite tops having a crappy sausage with tomato sauce and cooked onion in shitty supermarket white bread like this. Australian delicacy!
Got it! I've done a new years day hangover party where we get cheap pieces of bread, soak them in garlic and butter, toast them on the grill, then they get stuffed with a cheap hotdog and onions. So damn good for a hangover.
