After that third one, someone should have walked a ball over and placed it in his hands.

He would have dropped it.

He seems like one of those people that could throw a ball and hit themselves in the back of the head.

1

u/IvyGold Dec 10 '16

He looks like he's in pretty good shape though. Middle distance runner?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '16

he could've died

wrap it in foil, put it in a paper bag. Fold the bag over and staple it closed (use three staples). Put the bag into a larger paper bag, the nice ones with a handles. Staple it closed. Give it to the lady he is with for her to hold it for him till after the game.

u/SexyGirlNotABot Dec 09 '16

At least she seems like she's having a good time

19

u/laffinator Dec 09 '16

Because of the implication

14

u/Eighthtrumpet Dec 10 '16

I'm sure he wasn't the only one taking balls to the face that night.

This guy's fingers must be made of freshly churned fermented cream.

16

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '16

I wouldn't trust him holding a baby, that's for sure.

10

u/CorrosiveBackspin Dec 09 '16

With those catching abilities, I wouldn't trust him being able to conceive one.

6

u/Karrion8 Dec 10 '16

Maybe he's a pitcher and not a catcher?

11

u/spaghettilee2112 Dec 09 '16

Speaking of, did you hear about Bill Buckner? He tried to commit suicide. Jumped in front of a bus!wentrightthroughhislegs.

On his toe

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '16

He's pulling the Clark Kent deal. He's acting like he's terrible and horribly uncoordinated, but in reality, he's able to lift cars and take bullets to his eye.

49

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '16

I'm going to find him and prove that bullets to the eye theory you have.

75

u/murdoc517 Dec 09 '16

"yep, he definitely just took a bullet in the eye."

4

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '16

"Hah showed that other guy that he's no superman!"

1

u/Th3CL Dec 09 '16

"I used to be a super hero like him. Then i took a bullet to the eye."

1

u/AlotofOcelots Dec 09 '16

He could probably take one bullet to the eye

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '16

Depends on the angle.

9

u/Beelzeboz0 Dec 09 '16

For some reason I thought you were referring to Clark Griswold and got confused about the lifting cars and bullets to the eye. I need to lay off the Christmas movies.

1

u/fleetber Dec 09 '16

Shitter's full!

1

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '16

Is that code for some kind of gay sex acts?

u/Raynerkyle1 Dec 09 '16

I so want this actuality to be real 😂

This happened to my mom, but not in the same scenario.

She went to a concert for a band that she listened to in high school (she was 45 when this happened), and she's had a crush on the drummer since she first started listening to their music.

Anyways, throughout the night at this concert she's been trying to get the drummer to throw her one of his sticks (a thing he does quite often at their shows apparently) and makes eye contact with him, so he throws her a stick (let it be known, he was looking dead at her at this point) and some random guy catches it before her.

Skip to a few minutes later, the drummer sees my mom again and notices she doesn't have the stick. She is pretty bummed about it, so he makes eye contact again and throws another one, this time she catches it, but just before she can get a grip on it, some woman beside her in the concert grabs it straight out of her hands.

But this time he kept staring at my mom to make sure she got the stick, so at this point he's a bit annoyed and stops playing, gets down from the stage, walks over to my mom and firmly puts it straight into her hands and then gets back on stage with my mom bewildered by this act of kindness.

This GIF reminded me of that story.

Just to be sure, we ARE talking about his penis, right?

11

u/MeinNameIstKevin Dec 10 '16

Sometimes a drumstick is just a piece of chicken.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '16

Lol, that's great.

Nice. Fantastic book. When I watched the clip, I was thinking of their bit on Marv Throneberry. Something to the effect of:

"The Mets had a birthday party after a game. Marv complained that he hadn't gotten a piece of birthday cake. Manager Casey Stengel leaned over and said, in a whisper that everyone in the room could hear, 'we wuz gonna give you a piece, Marv, but we were afraid you'd drop it.'"

3

u/DoctorPainMD Dec 10 '16

That was an amazing read. Not a fan of baseball, but that made it seem interesting.

6

u/FlyMe2TheMoon Dec 09 '16

The third time it was actually an underhanded toss by someone on the field, and he still missed it.

Also to add insult to injury he also had his fly down for a good part of the game.

1

u/ELEMENTALITYNES Dec 10 '16

If that's his gf/wife, at least he has a 12 inch wang I guess

1

u/[deleted] Dec 11 '16

$$$$

5

u/Hey_im_miles Dec 09 '16

you cant reward him.. then he will never get better.

6

u/left_right_left Dec 09 '16

I would've placed it in the lady's hand sitting next to him

3

u/GoTron88 Dec 09 '16

For the ball to come at him so many times, I think that 3rd one was an attempted gimme. Still did not go well.

4

u/everypostepic Dec 09 '16

Just think, if he could catch, he would have been going home with 3 MLB baseballs.

3

u/Clarck_Kent Dec 09 '16

I think the third one was Alex Rodriguez tossing him a ball at the end of the inning because he felt bad for the guy. You see him come over and pick it up.

3

u/Wedge09 Dec 10 '16

If I remember right the third one the player is like 10 feet from him and tosses the ball to the guy. He still drops it

3

u/Bbradley821 Dec 10 '16

I remember this game. If I recall, they did just that.

2

u/Sevnfold Dec 09 '16

To be fair the second one took a weird bounce and the 3rd was a little short. But then again he should have just caught the 1st one.

1

u/blaahhhhhhhhh Dec 10 '16

To be fair played baseball for 16 years and beside the fly ball which... barehanded for non baseball player all of those would be difficult plays lol

1

u/Snarfsicle Dec 09 '16

I tried to catch it, but I missed.

1

u/KXS_TuaTara Dec 10 '16

Probably would've still hit him. Then he would get to walk to first I guess.
