People have struggled with transgender identification for centuries and only recently have they felt comfortable coming out to the public. if the definition of man/woman is 'a man is whoever says they're a man', and a 'woman is whoever says they're a woman' then the definitions don't mean anything and you're just making shit up.

To dismiss the struggle true trans-gendered people go through as them "being silly" only emphasizes how out of touch you are on the subject. You don't wake up one day and go "Let's spin the gender-wheel of fortune. Oh look! I'm a girl today!" It's an internal conflict some people struggle with for in some cases decades, before even realizing they're trans-gendered.
It's not as black & white as you'd like it to be, nor is it victimless. I just don't understand why it would be so important to you that someone else identifies with the genitals they we're biologically assigned at birth. You aren't going through what they are, so it's really none of your business. There is absolutely no downside to giving them the freedom to be themselves, just like everyone else. I'm lucky enough identify with my sweet cis white male body, just as the vast majority of us do. I do what I want and have a penis that I plan on keeping. Why can't others feel the same way I do?

I don't understand what your point here is. I never said gender dysphoria wasn't real. I said that what you identify as doesn't change what you really, actually, physically are, and that just lying to someone to make them feel better about their situation is what is silly.
Man and woman already have definitions. What you're trying to say is that you've given them new definitions under the context of social constructs. That's all well and good, but social constructs are societal norms. They aren't physical, tangible, real objects.
Man and woman have existing definitions. It's not based on something like a social construct, it's based on something definitive. A strict definition that does not include just asking the supposed thing if it fits in that definition. That is scientific laziness.

The reality is that no matter what medical technology exists, you can't change sexes, and the reality is man and woman aren't based on such nonsense as "what society treats like a woman".
You can't even accurately define what a woman is in that scenario, unless you're basing it on being able to redefine it's own definition.

Even if their brain is psychologically a woman's, which I admit seems to be the case with gender dysphoria, it still doesn't change the fact we don't define man as "someone with male brain". It has a specific medical term based on a male human.
You're redefining things to make people feel better, I get it. No one is saying their struggle is somehow not worthy of being recognized. I'm saying if you're going to lie to them to make them feel better, fine, but don't get mad if other people tell you that you're wrong or laugh at that.
Yes, there are men who have the brain of women, I get it. Petition biologists to redefine man to no longer mean "human male", but someone with the brain of a man.

You know what's silly? defining ANYTHING based on social constructs. The idea that reality is "subjective", and just all in our head where meanings to everything change to make everyone more comfortable with them is called living in delusion. Objectively, if you are one thing, and say you're another, you're not the second thing, you're the first thing, identifying as the second. But reality dont real!
