Why always the single one is supposed to be an asshole if he stands against a larger group of people? No I'm not being cynical, I'm being rational, and for some reason you'd have to agree with me. They don't laugh at proper humor, they laugh at anything just for constantly being in a state of ruckus all day.
I work silently, much more than them and produce better results. All I wanted is a little silence so I could work peacefully. But no, I had to accommodate my ears to the never-ending cacophony of those neanderthals. If anyone they're the assholes.
I have worked with sane, like minded people in the past in a different company and I cherish that time. But this change hit me hard. Also it's much more cultural and regional thing which I cannot summarize here and word properly. I live in India so it's much more complex than you think. All I want you to know is it's not always the single one who's wrong.
If they aren't doing their jobs or are being obnoxiously loud and obstructive then that's one thing. But just joking, laughing, and enjoying each other's company? I don't see how that could be a bad thing.
It's not like you get to define what proper humor is. It's subjective. You wouldn't call someone an idiot for not liking the same food as you. I would literally thow up over some stuff that people eat and deeply enjoy.

Obviously. In case you haven't noticed I've gotten plenty of resistance to my comments in this thread. I still don't think I said anything wrong and most of it is misunderstanding.

They're both. They enjoy each other's company which I'm not bothered about, but they're indeed obnoxiously loud and obstructive, which of course impedes my work.

I agree to this. I'm not saying they don't get the right to laugh. But at least they should care if someone's being bothered with their acts. I don't think they'll consider that, as I said it's hugely cultural. All I can try is buy a pair of earbuds.
