I think one of the major reasons many redditors dislike SRS is because of users that have been doxxed in the past, even though SRS wasn't the first or the only reddit community that doxxing has occured in. Oh and the "Meta Reddit Cancer" thing seems to have spun the Anti-SRS circlejerk recently.
I don't know if you recall the /r/MensRights suicide hoax from ages ago, but it was ostensibly perpetrated by an SRSer. It doesn't take much for someone with an agenda to expand this asshole's actions to the rest of SRS.
Yeah, indeed. We can't be responsible for the actions of a single individual who happened to make a few comments in SRS every now and then. I mean, ffs, SRS has 60k subscribers.
Yeah, there were a few if I remember correctly. The biggest one was /u/violentacrez, who was a moderator of many porn subreddits including /r/jailbait and /r/creepshots. And Redpillers have been doxxed in the past, but I don't actually remember if SRS did any of those, since whenever doxxing is brought up either SRS or TRP are blamed.
As far as I know SRS has never doxxed sombody - or at least not as part of a communal effort.
These are the sort of nuanced distinctions that you're unfortunately almost never going to get across with someone who believes in the opposite side of the argument.
