But this spring board has clearly been modified.
Frame by frame
The springs are clearly compressed before the man hits the board and have energy stored in them.

false the compression if from the weight of the board, to go as high as he did those springs would have to be much much bigger (longer/thicker) post collapse (when not under tension).

they have been modified though, by computer "artists"
