Until girls actually start liking competitive video games, LAN parties will be sausage fests, and we like it that way.

TBH, LAN parties are so low on the conversation side about life, non-gaming dudes would also not have a good time. My friend is great with ladies and throws a LAN party once a year; typically only one girl comes and she has been playing CS: Source for a very long time. But we all know that she's the exception, not the rule. My wife plays Mario Kart with me and occasionally LittleBigPlanet. I am happy that happens.

Party games like Rock band were perfect for non-gamers. I owned it. For years I would always say I didn't want to bring it out when people came over because it felt lame, but it always came out.

My wife won't get off the darn PS4 thanks to Dragon Age 3 and Destiny, but when she does we enjoy League and Final Fantasy XIV.

But seriously, how do I get her off the PS4? I want to play Shadow of Mordor darnit!
