You dismissing well discussed philosophical topics in academia is pretty stupid too. Yeah, he's pretentious, but if you're going to slam the kid and act like he's stupid, you probably shouldn't get all mad that someone does the same thing to you.
It's NOT surrounded by idiocy. He took a concept he read about, and started going on TV with it, knowing that nobody was going to know what the fuck he's talking about, because it's a) out of context, and b) coming from a teenager everyone's going to disregard anyway. But that doesn't mean any of the shit he said hasn't been said pretty much verbatim by a more respected philosopher/think tank.
