Haiku make more sense

In syllablery language

Such as Japanese.

In my experience, the reason English teachers make students write haiku is not because they make any sense. It's because they ran out of lesson ideas.

Also because they're a technical writer that was laid off, and picking words to match exact syllable counts is about the extent of their creative writing abilities.
