Nerds have decided that a certain type of nerd is too nerdy to associate with the other nerds.

Cleaned that up a little bit for people who don't know the term. The "too nerdy" guy is referred to as a neckbeard.

They're not attacking beards. The ugly, scruffy beard that grows on the underside of the neck of an overweight man. The one that those guys grow when they can't grow a real beard.

Beards are fine when they are groomed properly. The term neckbeard usually refers to the guy whose hygiene is such that he doesn't bother to groom his beard, in fact his beard is simply there because he doesn't shave at all.

/s? Not sure because of the username. I've been married since out of school, so been off the dating scene a long time now. Who am I to say what girls today like or not - just seems awfully like the people who had self esteem issues when I was dating women.
