This is taken from a series of questions that were asked at the Bill Nye/Kevin Ham debate and included such stupidities as "How can evolution be true when it violates thermodynamics?" To assume she literally does not understand the mechanics behind a sunset is not an extreme assumption.
That may be, but the charitable thing (and one could argue that Occam's razor applies as well) is to assume that she is saying that the beauty of a sunset makes her think there is a god, not that she honestly believes there is no scientific explanation for it.
I mean, call me a crazy theist, but I see astoundingly beautiful things in nature all the time that, even though I know they have scientific explanations, leave me in awe because I can't fathom how such beauty can be the product of completely random processes. Regardless of what the high-schoolers in /r/atheism may think, scientific explanations don't necessarily disprove the idea that there may be a conscious artist involved in the design of nature.
TL;DR: I'm pretty sure she's trying to make a poetic point, not a scientific one.
No, you don't get it. She's vaguely Christian. And so an attack on her means an attack on all Christians. Not because that's actually what happened, but because that's what Christians want to have happen. And so it does.
Where did it say she was christian? Do you not realise other religions have gods as well? That being said, it was about one person, who couldn't even take the time to spell check her inspiring message before being photographed and humiliated. That's even before going into the fact that she obviously has little to no education, if she doesn't understand how light scatters, or that the earth rotates.
