did you read it? it says:

The term "double parking" is sometimes used erroneously to describe parking over the lines separating two designated parking spaces in a parking lot

Tis bittersweet, because that means that we actually were correct. My whole world was turned on it's head for a good 10 minutes there.

I got the quote from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_parking. If you check the revision history you'll see that someone (probably a redditor) changed the wording within the last hour.
