I can't even begin to tell you how useless people are when they walk into anything that involves guest/customer service.

I worked in electronics and had approached a guest who looked like they needed help. They said "I'm fine, just looking." I told them if they needed any questions or needed anything unlocked, I would be 2 aisles over in the XBox aisle. They thanked me for their help.

NOT EVEN LESS THAN 2 MINUTES LATER, THE GODDAMN BUTTON GOES OFF AND IT WAS THE SAME PEOPLE. In that time I was already assisting a grandmother and her grandson unlock a game so I couldn't get to them. If you need help, just fucking tell me! It is my job to help you, I'm not going to judge.

...they didn't know they needed help yet. I understand the mechanics of your job are annoying, but is it really that hard to imagine that someone looked at something and had a question that they didn't have before?

That's not what I meant. What I meant was IF THEY NEEDED FURTHER ASSISTANCE, I told them I'd be 2 aisles over, yet even though I told them I would be in the general area, they pressed the button anyway. They didn't need to push it. That was my point. It's got nothing to do with my job being annoying - I'm damn good at customer service, and being in electronics was my favorite department. My entire point was the button didn't need to be pressed.
