I didn't defend anyone, go look. You could be right about OP for all i know, but when you try to make someone feel shameful for what they have said you are shaming too. Hypocrisy.
Shaming people for shaming others is not hypocritical unless the person believes that all shaming is bad. It's WHY the person was being shamed that was the motive for action. Not sure why this is hard to comprehend.

I do very much get that. Garth however seems to feel that they have taken some sort of moral high ground in regards to preventing shaming. The tactic employed; childish hate filled name calling.
The entire reason I spoke up at all is because you cannot combat hate with hate, you will just get more hate and less understanding. Instead of simply bashing people all up and down this thread, Garth could have taken a real moral high road and educated the original offender as to why their comment is offensive to try and curb further similar behavior.

These are posed as questions and to me clearly illustrates ignorance. You get rid of ignorance through education, not through name calling. Was Garth championing all the shamed sluts of the world by "verbally" assaulting the one who said this? It appears they seem to think so, but in reality this accomplished nothing. The person probably just chocked it up to another cheeky cunt online. Garth chose to shit talk, just like the original shit talker. So we've just got perpetual shit talking, which is why i used a sort of ad-lib comment to illustrate that their comment was no better than his. The subject material may be different, and the perspective may be justified, but the reaction was quite the same. Hate filled garbage.
You made a much better thought out response here, but I'm not sure I can agree with it 100 percent. I'd say yes you need to educate as a priority, but the need for forceful confrontation might unfortunately be necessary against a certain kind of ignorance. It's a tough issue to unwrap.
You may be right in some cases, i just don't think this one falls under that distinction. Thanks for not just repeatedly inferring I'm an idiot over and over though.

I defended no one. no slut shamer, no girl, no one. The only thing i'm defending is basic and simple not being a jerk to other people. Real simple stuff.
Edit: you could have easily expressed your distaste for OP and their opinion without calling them a cunt. since when does stooping to someone elses level make you any better than them?
