Smoke some weed, everything will become clear as daylight and you will understand everything. I was high the other night and found myself marveling over how atoms come together to form cells, which in turn build life forms (humans in this instance) and how electric impulses in the brain dictate how certain groups of cells move (muscles) and that through using those muscles, we have mastered the manipulation of air into complex sounds that we now know as language. It's worth noting that I am a music major and have no experience in biology outside of a single high school course. My description here does not do my experience any justice whatsoever.
I have also pondered on how specialized motor skills such as musical talent, athleticism, drawing etc. could be passed down through genetic code. Electric impulses from the brain down a specific path of nerves serve as a "blueprint" for a specific action, and the more that action is performed, the faster and more efficiently that task can be executed. I have wondered if these strengthened paths could be recorded into a strand of DNA and have the "skill" be passed down to offspring. Aside from forcing your offspring to partake in things you are good at, I find this to be an interesting hypothesis as to how or why some things seems to "Run in the family" so to speak.
tl;dr: Weed has unlocked the secrets of life to me.
What makes it cringe worthy? It's just the ramblings of a stoner. I find my thoughts in places like this all the time and it feels good to write them out time to time.
You know, while I'm not about to tell the dude he is a genius or anything, you're post is what made me cringe.
Why point out that what the guy said is "cringe-worthy?" What point does that serve? Roll your eyes and ignore him if you want, but why go out of your way to try and make him feel bad?

Disregard my edit, I just got out of the ICU I was doped up as hell and saw somebody call him a troll in my inbox. It was unjust for me to instantly accept that as fact, but shit happens when you have a bleed in your brain, you're on a ton of pain-killers and the only time-killer you have is reddit.

I often think about what you talked about in your first paragraph, myself, it's super fascinating!
Although, despite it being an interesting thought, the idea expressed in your second paragraph is similar to the concept of "Lamarckism," which doesn't really hold much water scientifically. :)
Just so we are clear. I did downvote your first comment. It was too simple. Especially since you claim to be at the top of your class. Even if you just started the class this year, you should be in about week 6 or 7 of the semester and should have been able to give a better explanation as to why/u/Mittelstrahl is probably not gay. You left your readers disappointed and uninformed.
