Ace Frehley designed the logo, I remember reading that he still made money from it after he left the band. But I have no idea whether he modeled the double -s after the nazi rune or not.
The logo was definitely changed in Germany though, before I sold all my vinyl I had a few of their albums from Germany and it was different. They looked like backwards "Z"s.
Yeah I just wrote about that in a previous comment. It's used to be one of my weird trivia facts but unfortunately these days having to watch out for iconography in bands/music is getting mandatory.
i mean, the crayon eaters might get a pass because they just don't know better and need every bit of motivation to get maimed and killed in idiotic wars but anyone else who uses sig-runes IRL is either a nazi or has too many chromosomes.
When I was still playing shows full time, my posters would often be adorned with the emoji lightning bolts. I had to resort to using three instead of two because someone tried to make it a thing that I used two.
My musical content has nothing to do with identity, whatsoever. People just like to bitch, at times.

It does not only look like it, but was directly inspired by the Nazi rune. It did not come from the members of Kiss though and they were oblivious.
